The Things I Love:
- Google Reader: I use Google Reader several times a day to maintain all of my tech readings. I prefer not to visit individual websites every day, so this service effectively pulls RSS feeds from all of my favorite tech / music / news blogs and allows me to read them in one place. I can also share my favorite readings with everyone.
- Del.icio.us: I use delicious on a daily basis to bookmark interesting articles. I prefer it over other bookmarking services because of its ease of use. It integrates well with my blog, it’s extremely fast, clean, and simple.
- Flickr: this is my preferred photo-sharing service. Flickr reigns supreme because it is one of the strongest services of the Web 2.0 generation. It’s clean, intuitive, extensible. I use a plugin in iPhoto to easily upload images to Flickr.
- Last.fm: every song I listen to in iTunes is submitted to Last.fm. Last.fm then takes these stats and creates charts, and tons of cool, various bits of information so that I can understand and be honest about what I’m really listening to these days. With this service, I can make friends with other users based on location and similarity in listening habits. The best part is that I have Last.fm integrated in my blog so you can see (on the sidebar) the top 9 albums I’m listening to right now.
