This Saturday, we will be opening for the Mermaid Skeleton’s CD release show. Over the past year alone, the Mermaids have become one of my favorite things to come out of Richmond. I AM biased, as 100% of the band, which I believe fluctuates between 7 and 8 people, are my friends. However, they continue to impress me with every LIVE performance. Speaking of live performance, I’m excited to hear what this new CD will sound like. The Mermaids are a very subtle, dynamic sound, and capturing something like that can be very difficult.

Regardless of their new record, they are a very pleasing band to see live. It’s like seeing the Flaming Lips without a PA system. I guess? Well, I recommend everyone come out to this show on Saturday, it will be a once in a lifetime moment, something I’ll probably brag about for the rest of my life. I was hoping to get an album cover or some kind of content from the Triple Stamp website (their record label), but nothing was available at the time. So here’s the flyer for the show on Saturday:
