For a few days now, I’ve been occasionally googling around for a way to fix my Unread Items count in Google Reader. Even if I mark all of my items as “READ”, the Unread Items count would still show numbers. It was so annoying that I started to look at using a Mac client to read RSS feeds. Newsfire (http://www.newsfirerss.com/) is actually a REALLY COOL app.

So finally, after spending almost an hour total trying to find a solution, I found that Google sees this as a KNOWN ISSUE and allows you to report the problem. I assume by reporting, that means they will fix it for my instance. We’ll see. Link is below:
