I’ve really been feeling the need to take a vacation. Then I found out that Mudcrutch is doing a few reunion shows in LA. Mudcrutch was Tom Petty’s first band before the Heartbreakers. They were based out of Gainesville, FL but moved to LA to land a record deal, which they did. That didn’t last too long, and some members of that band (Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench) moved on with Petty to form Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Being the die hard Heartbreakers fan that I am, what better time to take a vacation?!

My buddy Joel Speasmaker is moving to LA next week, so he’ll get there toward mid-April, and I’ll show up on April 26th in Burbank. So I’ll hang out with Joel for a few days, go see Mudcrutch on the 29th, go down to Orange County to hang out with Jessie and friends, etc etc. I’m started to get really excited about visiting the old stomping grounds - just for fun, not planning on going back there for a long while! I was thinking maybe it’s a good place to retire.
